I check my trail cameras for the first time in six months and had one of those "whoa" moments when checking the images. This big mountain lion ambled through the frame on Nov. 26, two days before Thanksgiving.

Contrast the size with the bobcat which turned up a couple times, including just a few days ago. The lion is a bit closer to the camera, but still.

There also were several coyote images worth posting, bunny rabbits, and a big moose. I passed on a shot of a bear and some other moose images that weren't quite up to standards. The light in the forest during the winter often isn't great.
