This was the first time I've been to Yellowstone since my youth. I figured September would be a good time to avoid the summer crowds, and it worked out that way. I flew from New England into Jackson and drove up through Grand Teton, seeing moose and elk along the way. One early morning, I saw a bear from a distance and got a couple of shots. Later in the day, a large mob of photographers was firing away at an elk that was posing when a coyote came wandering by, ignored by most. I drove up into Montana for a visit and saw some pronghorns along the way.
