Juniors III (twins) in the nest with one of the parents, about three weeks after hatching. One of the parents roosts on our office building. The hawks have to put up with getting mobbed by smaller birds such as mockingbirds. One of the Juniors III spreads his wings. Young Red-Tailed Hawk, digiscoped as he sat in a tree, Canon S330 camera and Televue 85 telescope. One of my first digiscoping efforts, Braintree Hawk. Could not get this tight with a conventional telephoto lens to show the cottonwood fluff stuck in the branches, but shooting with this setup on a cloudy day through a thick window muddied the sharpness and contrast.
