ZWO has released the anticipated mosaic mode for the Seestar S50. One of the primary deficiencies of the Seestar telescope was its narrow point of view, and the mosaic mode adds the capability to work around that.
It's not flawless as my new image of Andromeda took forever (almost six hours) to compile images that supposedly totaled only 107 minutes (1.8 hours) of exposure time. The recommended exposure was 1.9 hours, which it almost reached, but the closer to the edge you get, the more noise you have. I cropped the sides and top, but kept M110 in view at the bottom and you can see a lot of noise there.
Also shown here are two new images shot without mosaic, the Orion Nebula and the Pelican Nebula. It is my first crack at Orion, and I want to use the mosaic to shoot one with a slightly larger field of view, and in landscape mode. The Pelican image replaces a much murkier image I posted in September.
