I took the Scotia Prince car ferry from Portland to Yarmouth, Novia Scotia. Many people took this ferry so they could gamble while the boat was in international waters, then they would immediately come back. I didn't care about gambling so I booked a sleeping cabin.
While I enjoyed hiking and driving around for a few days, this really wasn't my type of photo trip. I snapped a few lighthouses and weathered driftwood, but didn't see any wildlife. I only posted one image on my web site.
Writing this many years later, the operator of the Scotia Prince only ran this route for a couple more years. According to Wikipedia, the ship ran from Tampa to Mexico for a while, then India to Sri Lanka, then was scrapped in 2012. |
