Sometimes my relatives make fun of me when I correct them for calling pronghorns "antelope." But they are not antelope! Wikipedia authoritatively claims that the closest relative of pronghorns is not antelope or deer, but the giraffe. Let's just say that they are unique.
Drives across the isolated parts of Wyoming and Montana often reveal pronghorn, sometimes in large numbers. I made a drive to central Wyoming today for a commercial real estate drone job and saw several herds. The first image is two individuals in a small group on the outskirts of the town of Shoshoni. The second image is just a portion of a much larger but more distant herd north of Thermopolis. Since I had both my drones with me, I contemplated sending the smaller one toward the herd. Ultimately I decided not to. Although I don't think it would have bothered them, I was concerned about climbing over a barbed wire fence onto private property if the drone went down and had to be retrieved.
But I am including here an image of what I did shoot with the big drone today. Flying a drone is a skill, and I need to practice more.
