2013 was a very good year. I retired (again) from full-time employment, abandoned downtown Chicago to move back to the Heartland, and got some really good images. I've been going through my old images and redoing a lot of them with modern Photoshop. After starting in August of 2023, I finally finished with 2013 today. The photo I have had as my phone wallpaper for several years is an eagle I saw on the Illinois side of Lock and Dam 18 along the Mississippi River. Below is the next image in the sequence, posted on this site for the first time. It was my first full year with the 5D Mark III, and combining it with the 500mm lens produced (and can still produce) some amazing images.
Below that is a butterfly from Florida, much brighter than the image originally posted.
Now on to 2012. My estimate is there are 248 images that need editing. This might take a while.
