I was waiting for the weather to get a bit better before trying to get the hummingbirds. With the arrival of June, I finally set up the camera. I started with the 6D and the 500mm lens (prefocused) triggered with my phone. I later tried the 100-400mm lens. The next day the wireless was acting a bit wonky so I switched to the 5D/100-400 with the infrared remote trigger. The posted shots from the 5D actually were not remote triggered as I was standing by the camera making an adjustment when the bird came by. A meadowlark also landed in a tree in my yard so I got a shot of him. I got no meadowlark images last year as they stayed just out of range.
