Past and Future Journeys
Prior to 1998 I was not in the habit of vacationing with a camera. My attitude was if I wanted a picture of something, I could buy a postcard. Funny how interests change. From 1998 to 2002 I traveled to Arizona a lot and shot mostly baseball photos. In 2002 I decided it would be neat to photograph an air show in England featuring World War II warbirds and that was more or less the start of my current adventurous photographic phase. In 2009, I became afflicted with employment and most of my current travel is not to photogenic locations, but hopefully my wandering will resume in 2011. 2002
- June – South Dakota. [Photos]

- December – Florida – Christmas in Florida, first visit to the Merritt Island and "Ding" Darling wildlife refuges. [Photos]
2003
- March – Florida – Return trip, Merritt Island and "Ding" Darling wildlife refuges again, the Kennedy Space Center, and an air show. [Photos]

- July – Alaska – Bears, eagles, seals and icebergs in Southeast Alaska. [Photos]
- September – Yellowstone and Grand Teton – The parks and surrounding area. [Photos]

2004
- January/February – Mississippi River Eagles – Eagles wintering along the river in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. [Photos] [Report]
- March – Florida – Long weekend. A few baseball and bird shots. [Photos]
- December '03 to March – Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia – Most recent of many visits over the years. In addition to the monuments and museums of DC, the wildlife of the surrounding area. [Photos]

2005
- January – Mississippi River Eagles – Return to Illinois and Iowa to see wintering eagles. [Photos] [Report]
- March – New Mexico and Arizona – A return to Bosque del Apache and the Cactus League. [Photos] [Blog]
- April/August – Kansas City – I was based out of Kansas City for four months. See the [Photos] and [Blog] from around western Missouri, visits to St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Denver, and a trip back home for the Blue Angels.
- August – Baltimore – Baseball in Baltimore and Washington. [Blog]

- October/November – Nevada/California/Arizona/New Mexico – Bosque del Apache NWR and the Arizona Fall League are becoming a habit. Birds and baseball. This trip also included Death Valley and the Las Vegas air show Aviation Nation. [Photos] [Report]
